The production budget is $ 200 million – it is supposed to be the most expensive film that has been made so far under the Netflix banner. And the creators want more. – The idea is to create a franchise and build a whole universe, – writer and co-director Joe Russo told Deadline in 2020. – We all got involved in that first movie and it has to be really great for us to move on to the second. We have masters among killers here. Gosling’s character was blasted by the CIA, and Evans’s character has to get him, he added. He also mentioned that the series of films about Jason Bournie was a certain inspiration for him here.

Joe and Anthony Russo, who in recent years collaborated with Chris Evans on such hits as “Captain America: Winter Soldier” from 2014 and “Avengers: End of the game” from 2019, are responsible for directing. The Gray Man will be produced by AGBO, a new company by the Russo brothers. The script was based on the best-selling book series by Mark Greaney with the help of Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The first part of the novel was released on the Polish market last year.

The cast also includes Billy Bob Thorton, Ana de Armas and one of the hottest names in recent months – Regé-Jean Page, who was extremely popular with the role of the prince in Netflix’s series “Bridgertons”.

There is no information on a specific release date for “The Gray Man” at the moment.
