On Saturday, May 20, the show arrives in Guayaquil disney 100 concert, as part of the centennial celebration of the company founded by Walt Disney in 1923.

On stage, about twenty artists, including singers, actors and acrobats, will recreate the songs from the favorite animated films of children of different generations, during a tour of the film production of Walt Disney Animation Studios.

The two functions will be in the Voltaire Paladines Polo Coliseum (11:00 AM and 5:00 PM), with the interpretation of the Guayaquil Symphony Orchestra and the direction of maestro Thiago Tiberio. There are two other sessions coming up General Ruminahui Colosseum, in Quito, with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ecuador and maestro Tiberio.

Characters remembered throughout the decades will sing and dance (and invite the audience to sing and dance along): Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Elsa and Anna, Rapunzel and Flynn, The Little Mermaid, Moana and Pocahontas, among others.

One of the most recent musical successes is the song of Charm, Nobody talks about Bruno (No no no), Don’t mention it (Moana: A Sea of ​​Adventures), Summer (Frozen: A Frozen Adventure). But also classics such as An ideal world (aladdin), Part of your world (The Little Mermaid) And Bibbidi-Babbidi-Bu (Cinderella).

Disney Regional Executive Director Rocío Sappia explains that they are performing a symphony concert designed for the family. “Go through some of Iconic moments from the first 100 years of Walt Disney Animations: everyone will have that moment that touches their heart, the most important songs are represented”.

Disney 100 concert It takes place in chronological order, starting with the classics to the most recent. Scenes from the films are projected on the screen, while the orchestra performs the themes live. “There are already more than 60 musicians who are already preparing, more great artists from Argentina and other Latin American countries who have joined us since the first concert (in Argentina, where they have already played 17 performances).”

Sappia highlights the ensemble work of the orchestras with the Brazilian maestro Tiberio, specialist in musical synchronization and conductor, both live and in recording studios.

There have been performance highlights in every city alliances with local talent. “We are very proud that they are part of our concerts. With the director and all the cast, we started in Argentina, at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, with the Minería Symphony Orchestra (Mexico), and now we have arrived in Ecuador. He arrives days early and has several rehearsals alone with the orchestra, preparing it until the cast arrives and the ensemble is created. From there the vocal and musical rehearsals begin, and in a week we will be ready for the concert”.

This work considers about 30 numbersthe reception of which, says Sappia, “is pretty even, we have some musical scenes with a lot of singers and dancers, one is moved by that song and there’s a lot of applause, and you’d say it was very well received, but then a performance like that of Pocahontas that she (only) creates her song, with a background screen, and when she finishes (the result) is the same as the previous one; the concert has a cadence, every moment has something special”.

The editing is by Argentinian director Peter McFarland, who adapts it to every stage he goes to Disney 100 concert. The next country is Peru. “The aim is to visit the largest number of cities in Latin America.”
