Ecuadorian striker Enner Valencia traveled to Buenos Aires on Friday to finalize his transfer to Argentine football club Boca Juniors. Speaking to reporters at the airport in Guayaquil before boarding his flight, Valencia expressed excitement for the new challenge, stating that he made the decision with his family after receiving a great opportunity.

Valencia revealed that he held extensive conversations with Boca Juniors president Juan Román Riquelme. The striker acknowledged Riquelme's legacy as a player and executive, noting that speaking directly with him creates a greater responsibility to meet the expectations of Boca fans. He added that club representatives had already briefed him on what to expect in Argentina.

Addressing the high expectations of his new team, Valencia said players must be physically and mentally prepared to match the history of Boca Juniors.
