Writing on her Telegram channel on September 23, Mizulina described the reported incident as terrible and expressed astonishment that the musician, whose real name is Denis Ustimenko-Vainshtein, was able to leave the country without facing legal consequences.
According to press reports published earlier on September 23, Dzhigan barricaded staff members inside his residence, staged a shooting, and fired directly at one of his security guards. The rapper's former wife, Oxana Samoilova, confirmed the reports of the hostage taking and shooting. However, Dzhigan himself publicly denied all allegations regarding hostages and gunfire.
