Audi’s new flagship crossover, the Q9, could reach the Russian market in 2027 through parallel imports, according to Autonews.ru, citing representatives of major dealerships and market participants.
The Q9 is the first full-size SUV in the German brand’s history. It will compete against the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS. Production is underway at Audi’s plant in Bratislava, Slovakia, with European sales set to begin in autumn 2026.
Nikolai Ivanov, sales director for new cars at Rolf, said dealers would be able to identify the most in-demand configurations after official European sales begin and then arrange deliveries to Russia. Avilon also expects the Q9 but anticipates volumes will be small, adding that the more compact Audi Q7 will remain the brand’s main sales driver in Russia.
Importer AI Avto said it is prepared to supply the Q9 on an order-only basis, forecasting that European-built units could arrive with Russian buyers in March or April 2027, with US-market versions following around April or May.
Dealers estimate Russian pricing at around 17 million rubles for the European Q9, from 15 million for the American version, and from 22 to 23 million for the Audi SQ9. Final prices will depend on exchange rates, specification, logistics, customs duties, and recycling fees.
