Russian designer and blogger Artemy Lebedev has mocked a Moscow fertility clinic for labeling sperm donated by Telegram founder Pavel Durov with a warning that he is a registered terrorist.

Lebedev discussed the donor profile during a news review episode broadcast on the VK Video platform, describing the update as cringe. He said that Durov was now classified as a terrorist and that his donor material was being supplied with explicit labeling identifying him as a terrorist and extremist, adding that the situation was so cringe that it was almost entertaining.
Clinic listing and official status
The commentator spoke after reports emerged that the AltraVita clinic, a medical center in Moscow offering in vitro fertilisation procedures, still maintains the tech executive's donor material on its roster of services.
The medical organization issued a public comment after the information page detailing Durov's profile temporarily disappeared from its official website.
Russia's Federal Financial Monitoring Service, Rosfinmonitoring, officially added Durov to its national list of terrorists and extremists on July 30. Following the registry update, Russian law enforcement formally charged the entrepreneur with facilitating terrorism.
Terrorism charges in Russia
State investigators alleged that Telegram failed to delete numerous chat groups and channels that were being utilized to organize criminal offenses across Russia.
The Federal Security Service accused Durov of assisting terrorism on July 29, a charge that leaves the tech founder facing a potential life sentence under Russian law. Authorities specifically cited platform features, including the automated bot known as Daivinchik, in connection with the criminal allegations.
Sperm donation program and legal trouble abroad
In December 2025, Durov publicly offered to pay all in vitro fertilisation expenses for women seeking to conceive children using his sperm. He confirmed at the time that the dedicated donation program had been set up at a clinic operating in Moscow.
The criminal charges in Russia follow previous legal actions taken against Durov internationally. On August 25, 2024, French law enforcement officers detained the founder in France, where he faces potential prison sentences of up to 20 years.
Pavel Durov is a Russian-born tech billionaire who launched the cloud-based messaging platform Telegram after creating the Russian social network VKontakte. Artemy Lebedev is a prominent Russian graphic designer and media personality who regularly hosts online commentary broadcasts.
