Armenia's Military Trains With Iranian Majid Air Defense

Armenian Armed Forces personnel held exercises using Iranian-made Majid AD-08 surface-to-air missile systems, according to footage highlighted by the Telegram channel "Povernutye na voyne."

The video shows air defense units training with the short-range Majid system and the medium-range Akash-1S system, which is made in India.

During the drills, air defense crews practiced moving to a designated area, deploying the systems and searching for targets.

What the Majid system can do

The all-weather Majid system can guide missiles onto four targets at once, using an optical-electronic system to detect and track objects. Its AD-08 missiles can hit targets up to eight kilometers away.

In March, the outlet Military Watch Magazine reported that a Majid missile may have struck a US fifth-generation F-35 fighter jet over central Iran.
