Pop star Ariana Grande has demanded that United States President Donald Trump stop using her music after one of her hit songs was featured in a video targeting transgender women on TikTok.

The video, published on Donald Trump's official TikTok account, features the president walking toward a podium during a speech while Grande's hit track We Can't Be Friends plays in the background.

The clip concludes with a written statement attacking transgender women, asserting that men cannot have children and stating that they should never compete in women's sports.

Use of Music in Campaign Video

After learning about the post published by Donald Trump's team, Ariana Grande responded by demanding that the campaign never use her music again. The singer also stated that the version of the track used in the video was fake.

The dispute marks the latest clash between prominent recording artists and political campaigns over the unauthorized use of music in promotional content on social media platforms.

Previous Clash Over Immigration Video

This is not the first time the Wicked star has voiced strong opposition to the United States president using her recordings. In June, Grande criticized the White House for using her song Bye in a promotional video.

That video highlighted arrests carried out by agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, commonly known as ICE.

At the time, Grande urged officials to stop using her music in connection with what she called barbarity, inhumanity, and atrocity, while expressing a profane condemnation against ICE.

The singer has also recently indicated plans to step back from the public spotlight following her tour, citing the pressure of constant public scrutiny.

Wider Backlash From Pop Artists

Grande joins a growing list of high profile musicians who have publicly requested that Washington officials refrain from using their song lyrics in government promotional materials and political posts.

Other major artists who have issued similar demands to the administration include Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, and Sabrina Carpenter.
