An Argentine millionaire tourist went viral on social media after reporting that her rented 90-foot yacht was too large to enter coves in Mallorca. The tourist explained that the size of the vessel prevented her family from reaching several beaches they planned to visit along the island coast.
The story emerged on the Argentine radio program Vuelta y Media, broadcast by the Urbana Play station. Speaking during a segment focused on millionaire problems, the woman recounted the difficulties her family encountered while attempting to tour the Mallorcan coastline.
Ten family members boarded the 27-meter vessel for their holiday. The yacht came equipped with a captain, sailors, and a private chef, which the tourist described as a five-star hotel on the water.
Reasons for renting the luxury vessel
The family chose to rent the large yacht to explore some of Mallorca's most spectacular coves and cliffs from the sea. They hoped to avoid traffic jams, parking struggles, and long walks that usually accompany visits to local beaches during the summer.
However, the length of the yacht created an unexpected inconvenience. Because of its size, the vessel could not navigate into tighter coastal areas, forcing the captain to anchor at a distance from the shore.
Reaching the shore with smaller boats
The tourist said that upon arriving at a cove, the yacht simply could not fit inside. When the radio hosts asked if the vessel carried an auxiliary boat to reach the land, she confirmed that they had access to a dinghy and a jet ski.
She admitted that she was not satisfied with that option, stating that using a smaller craft was not the same experience. In several locations, the yacht had to remain about 300 meters from the coast, requiring the family to travel the remaining distance on the smaller watercraft.
