A Russian missile strike on August 5 destroyed a spare parts warehouse belonging to Toyota Ukraine, the official importer and distributor of Toyota and Lexus automobiles. The company confirmed the destruction of its warehouse storing replacement components and related products in a statement published on Facebook.
Toyota Ukraine stated that its team is implementing a comprehensive set of measures to restore logistical operations and secure steady deliveries to Toyota dealership networks in Ukraine. The importer noted that alternative logistics routes are being deployed to reduce the effect on customer service operations.
However, the company warned that temporary delivery delays could affect certain spare parts, accessories, lubricants, and additional items. Enterprise with Foreign Investments Toyota Ukraine is 100 percent owned by the Japanese parent company Sumitomo Corporation.
Damage across Ukrainian enterprise warehouses
Toyota was one of numerous targets in a massive strike aimed at warehouses operated by Ukrainian businesses. Several major commercial entities also reported the destruction of their physical facilities, including Epicentr, Rozetka, Nova Poshta, Silpo, Novus, and MTI group, which operates the Intertop chain and Pandora store network.
Toyota currently leads both the global market and the Ukrainian automotive sector in total vehicle sales. In July 2026, Toyota expanded its Ukrainian sales volume by 20 percent to reach 986 vehicles, despite an overall 10.5 percent drop across Ukraine's automotive market during the same period.
