Japanese automaker Toyota has launched its updated 2027 Camry sedan in the Chinese market, introducing a redesigned interior, upgraded multimedia hardware, and expanded equipment packages on August 20, 2026. However, the published lineup currently omits the range-topping 2.5-liter hybrid variant, which may go on sale at a later date.

Official dealer promotional pricing at launch ranges from 132,000 to 170,000 yuan (approximately 1.75 million to 2.2 million Russian rubles). Recommended retail prices for the 2027 Toyota Camry range from 172,000 to 210,000 yuan (2.2 million to 2.7 million rubles).

Toyota Motor Corporation, one of the world's largest vehicle manufacturers, produces the Camry as its core mid-size sedan offering. The model has long served as a key vehicle in Toyota's global lineup, competing against rival saloons in the mid-size passenger segment.

Interior updates and tablet integration
The most substantial modifications for the 2027 model year take place inside the cabin. Toyota has overhauled the front dashboard panel, incorporated a higher proportion of soft-touch materials, added new decorative trim elements, and lined the ceiling with a suede headliner. Buyers can also select from two new interior color options, brown and gray.

Technological enhancements center on the infotainment system, which now features a 15.6-inch central touchscreen as standard equipment even on base trims. A larger digital instrument cluster is also included across the range. Higher trim levels add a head-up display and a 50-watt wireless device charging pad.

Top-tier trims offer heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats alongside a 14-speaker JBL sound system. Rear passengers gain electric seatback tilt adjustment, heating, and ventilation. Additionally, Toyota has integrated mounting brackets and connection interfaces on the front seatbacks specifically designed for Xiaomi ecosystem tablet devices. The flagship trim level comes equipped with a panoramic glass roof.
Luggage capacity and exterior dimensions
To increase trunk space, Toyota eliminated the traditional spare tire, replacing it with a concealed underfloor storage compartment.
The exterior design remains virtually unchanged from previous iterations, retaining C-shaped front and rear light clusters, a narrow radiator grille, and hidden exhaust tailpipes. The vehicle measures 4,950 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, and 1,450 mm in height, with a 2,825 mm wheelbase. Aluminum wheel options range from 17 to 19 inches depending on the selected trim level.
Safety suite and engine specifications
All versions of the 2027 Camry come standard with the Toyota Safety Sense driver assistance package. This suite includes adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking. Mid-tier trims add blind spot monitoring, parking assistance, and rear cross-traffic alert. The top-tier model further adds lane change assist, front cross-traffic alert, and driver status monitoring.
The powertrain lineup remains unchanged. The entry-level model uses a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 173 horsepower paired with a Direct Shift-CVT transmission. It achieves a fuel consumption rate of 6.03 to 6.29 liters per 100 kilometers under the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTC). The hybrid variant combines a 2.0-liter petrol engine with an electric motor to generate a total output of 197 horsepower, delivering fuel consumption figures between 4.2 and 4.5 liters per 100 kilometers.
