Investments for Honduras are promoted at Expo 2020 in Dubai

The Dubai Expo was scheduled for 2020, but was rescheduled for this year due to the global covid-19 pandemic.

The Foreign Minister of Honduras, Lisandro Rosales, continued this Saturday promoting foreign investment for his country, this time at Expo 2020 Dubai, as part of his official visit to the United Arab Emirates, an official source in Tegucigalpa reported.

The delegation led by Rosales met at Expo 2020 Dubai, which was inaugurated on October 1 and will close on March 31, 2022, with representatives from Israel and Japan, the Honduran Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The high-ranking Honduran official and the other members of the delegation also made a tour of their country’s pavilion at the Dubai exhibition, in which organizations, companies and more than 190 nations participate that exhibit “their innovations and attractions, divided into three districts: sustainability, mobility and opportunities ”, adds the official information.

The Honduras pavilion is installed in the opportunities district, where the Central American country exhibits its archeology, culture and biodiversity, as well as the opportunities and potential it offers for investment.

Rosales’ agenda today included a meeting with Israel’s Pavilion Commissioner General Elazar Cohen.

In addition, he visited the Japan pavilion and spoke with his representative, Nakamura Tomiyasu.

The Honduran delegation was also invited to meet at the exhibition the samples from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and the DP World company, founded in 1972.

The Honduran Foreign Minister also visited a Police station located within Expo 2020 Dubai to learn about some of the technological advances that are currently used in security and citizen protection issues, said the Tegucigalpa Foreign Ministry.

The Honduran delegation is completed by the Vice Chancellor, Karen Najarro, and the presidential director of Monitoring and Evaluation of the General Government Coordination Secretariat (SCGG), Luis Fernando Palma. The meetings were joined by the Honduran ambassador to Kuwait, Luis Velásquez.
