Plot and Marital Conflict
The story centers on a turbulent love triangle that explodes during an unexpected dinner meeting. After 20 years of marriage, a husband named Ken abandons his wife Hilary to pursue a relationship with a younger woman named Laura.
Ken soon discovers that his new domestic life with Laura fails to satisfy either his stomach or his emotional needs. Longing for the domestic security and home cooking of his former marriage, Ken accepts an invitation from Hilary for a final dinner together, unaware that his betrayed former wife is preparing a calculated act of revenge.
The play combines bitter sarcasm and dark irony to examine jealousy, infidelity, and emotional betrayal.
