From next Monday, completely new show formats will appear on the air, which have not yet been seen in Poland. The basic production on which the station focuses is naturally the program with: “Doda. Dream Show”. But there were also investments in foreign formats, known for years in the USA: “Temptation Island” and “The Real Housewives”.
We had the opportunity to watch all three productions before the premiere. What is worth waiting for and what is better to switch? check.
“Temptation Island Poland” – troubled couples heal relationships by dating strangers
“Temptation Island” is a dating version of the bikini show that has recently been loved by Poles. Four couples go to a Greek villa to test their relationships. Dating with attractive singles is supposed to “help”. The idea is as simple as building a flail, and the participants are extremely human and very similar to ordinary citizens.

Polsat presented only the first episode at the press show, but after that it is known that more would be useful. This is a program for lovers of drama, beautiful landscapes and beautiful people. The delivery method can be discouraging. In contrast to “Love Island”, it was decided to have weekly single episodes – this is not conducive to remembering the participants and empathizing with their problems. If you like girls in bikinis and boys in underpants, and when you see quarrels in other people’s relationships, you pull out popcorn – check out “Temptation Island Polska” – broadcast from Wednesday, September 6 at 21:05.
“The Real Housewives. Wives of Warsaw” – fabulously rich, but is it still impressing anyone?
When the first “real wives” from the USA appeared on television, their glamor was glamor with a capital P. We watched millionaires from Miami, New Jersey, New York, Beverly Hills … It is easier to name American cities where the show was not filmed than those who had their “wives”. Because the program leaked outside the United States, it had to finally, after 17 years, find its way to Poland.

Our Polish millionaires, of course, show off their wealth, wear Versace, drive Bentleys and sail yachts. And probably if this program was created ten years ago, it would still arouse appropriate admiration mixed with envy. But today? I’m not saying that each of us already has our own motorboat moored in a private port in Giżycko, but having our own clinic in Dubai or a clothing brand probably doesn’t impress anyone anymore – half of Instagram does (although, of course, we don’t). However, if you like watching rich people argue and wipe their tears with banknotes, you will certainly like “Wives of Warsaw”. Broadcast also on Wednesdays at 20:05.
“Doda. Dream Show” – it was supposed to be a card, Doda’s real face came out
At the press show, Polsat also presented the first episode of the latest show with Doda in the lead role: “Doda. Dream Show”. The program is to document the singer’s preparations for her latest – and supposedly last – concert tour.
The idea of seeing “behind the scenes” how such an undertaking is prepared is very interesting in itself. Doda also knows what she’s doing – she was one of the first in Poland to try to make a world-class show. Unfortunately, over the years, no one appreciated it, except for the most ardent fans – Doda’s spectacular concerts were made for Polish budgets: although still huge for our conditions, it is still much smaller than those available to stars abroad.

In “Doda. Dream show”, however, we will see not only the professional side of the singer, but also the very unprofessional and even toxic one. The production is happy that it was a program without doubles, with a minimal script and without interfering with what Doda would say and do. Unfortunately, the singer shows in the first episode how she treats her colleagues and how uncritically she approaches herself – while criticizing everyone around. If “Temptation Island Polska” left me with the feeling of “stupid, but it can draw you in”, and “Żony Warszawy” with “a bit of boredom”, then “Doda. Dream Show” is only a progressive feeling of nervousness towards Dorota Rabczewska. It’s the 21st century and certain behaviors towards the people you work with are unacceptable – whether you’re a celebrity or not.
I don’t think I want to know more about Doda after the first episode of her show. I guess the less I know, the better – why worry unnecessarily? I suggest you watch at least one episode and see which side you will be on – whether on the side of Doda, the eternally underestimated star, whom everyone throws logs under his feet, or co-workers who are responsible for the implementation of her ideas, but have meager resources at their disposal.
