Baldwin’s coach Taktarov put forward his version of the deadly incident

Former MMA fighter and actor Oleg Taktarov, who trained actor Alec Baldwin, put forward his version of the fatal incident that happened on the set of the movie “Rust”. His words are available on the website of the Zvezda TV channel.

“Maybe at the factory, when they were making cartridges, someone made such a pod and put metal fragments in there. We can only guess this, ”Taktarov said. He also noted that, perhaps, the shooting on the site was treated unprofessionally. “Maybe it was a non-union movie, and there was no protection, there was no budget,” he explained.

Taktarov added that he worked with Baldwin as a student for two years. “He trained with me at the academy in Los Angeles. The person is pleasant, polite, responsible. Very attentive, did not miss classes. Very disciplined, ”the former athlete concluded.

Earlier it became known that on the set of “Rust” Baldwin fired a pistol, which was supposed to be loaded with blank cartridges. However, the bullet flew, and its fragments wounded the film’s director Joel Sousa and cameraman Galina Hutchins. The woman in critical condition was taken to hospital, where she died from her injury. Sousa is alive, but in serious condition, his collarbone is damaged. Baldwin was questioned by Santa Fe County police, and charges have not yet been filed against the actor.
