State prosecutors have requested up to 11 years in prison for four foreign citizens convicted of fatally beating 20-year-old footballer Arseny Eroshevich in Shchelkovo.
The prosecution demanded custodial terms ranging from nine to 11 years in a penal colony after a jury found the four defendants guilty over the fatal attack. Defense attorney Oxana Skoblina, who represents one of the accused men, reported the state prosecutor's official sentencing request to the TASS news agency.
The criminal charges follow a violent incident on August 17, 2025, in a parking lot outside a bar in Shchelkovo. According to the investigation, two of the defendants provoked a conflict with Eroshevich and a friend of his. The argument escalated into a physical fight, during which three other men joined the brawl in support of the foreigners.
The defendants had insisted on having their case heard before a jury during the legal proceedings. Following their examination of the case, the jurors found four participants in the brawl guilty of murder, hooliganism, and battery.

Eroshevich was a 20-year-old athlete who played for Russian Community Shchelkovo, an amateur football team based in the municipality.
