Peruvian influencer Samahara Lobatón has publicly expressed regret over her decision to get engaged to her ex-partner Youna, admitting during an interview on Peruvian television show Magaly TV La Firme that resuming their romantic relationship was a mistake.
Speaking to host Magaly Medina following her participation in the Miami-based reality show La Prisión de Destino 2, Lobatón reflected on her past public engagement to the father of her eldest daughter. She questioned what might have occurred had the couple proceeded to marriage after deciding to reunite.
Lobatón explained that her recent reunion with Youna during filming in Miami brought their ongoing personal friction back to light. She stated that while Youna continues to hold deep resentment toward her, she does not harbor similar feelings toward him, adding that he continues to handle conflicts immaturely and has not changed.

According to Lobatón, the initial decision to draw close again occurred during a period of intense personal vulnerability for both of them. Youna had recently received a cancer diagnosis, while Lobatón was attempting to recover from reported domestic aggressions experienced during her relationship with Peruvian salsa singer Bryan Torres. During those initial months, both individuals served as crucial emotional support for each other.

However, Lobatón noted that the dynamic between them changed as time passed. She explained that as Youna regained confidence regarding his illness, his true personality re-emerged. Despite their frequent clashes during the reality show, Lobatón made clear that she still retains genuine affection for Youna. She affirmed that she will never stop caring for him because he is the father of her child, though she explicitly ruled out any possibility of a romantic reconciliation.
