Sakis Arseniou Plans Second Child After Emergency Surgery

Greek singer Sakis Arseniou announced plans to expand his family during a morning television appearance on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Speaking on the entertainment show Happy Day, Arseniou shared that he and his wife intend to have another child, noting that their young son has already started asking for a baby brother or sister.

Arseniou married Lamprini Plevri in a religious ceremony in September 2024, shortly before the birth of their son. The couple had previously completed a civil wedding ceremony in 2022. Arseniou is a prominent Greek Laiko vocalist, while Happy Day is a popular morning lifestyle program broadcast nationally on Alpha TV in Greece.

Emergency stomach surgery

During the interview, Arseniou reflected on a sudden health crisis that forced him to halt his summer concert schedule. In late August 2026, the singer urgently cancelled a planned appearance on the island of Samos on August 21 and shared a photograph from his hospital bed on August 22 to inform fans of his condition.

Arseniou explained that he experienced severe stomach pain immediately after returning home from a summer vacation. Doctors informed him that he needed immediate surgery, which prompted intense worry and fear before the operation was successfully completed.

Fan encounters and family life

Arseniou also described intense interactions with female fans over the course of his performing career. He recalled an incident in which a woman entered his dressing room while he was changing clothes, laid down on the rug in front of other people present, and announced that she intended to sit there and watch him.

Closing the interview, Arseniou spoke about his brother, who was diagnosed with autism and has lived with the condition for 42 years. He stated that after four decades, supporting his brother has become a natural routine for their family. Although conventional communication is not possible, Arseniou emphasized that his brother remains the deeply loved center of their home.
