Miss France 2027 will take place on Saturday, December 12, at the Arena Futuroscope venue near Poitiers, event organisers have announced.
The annual beauty pageant will air live across the country on television channel TF1 and its streaming platform TF1+, two weeks before the end of year holidays. Veteran presenter Jean-Pierre Foucault will return to host the live ceremony once again.
This year's contest marks a double anniversary, celebrating 40 years of Miss France on television alongside the 40th anniversary of the Futuroscope site. Frédéric Gilbert, president of Société Miss France and producer of the event, said in a statement that it was natural to bring the two milestones together at the venue following a successful edition held there two years ago.
Miss France is the nation's long-running beauty contest, held annually to choose a representative for the country. TF1 is France's dominant commercial television network, while Arena Futuroscope is a major performance and events hall situated within the Futuroscope media theme park in the Vienne department of western France.
Caribbean preparation trip for 31 contestants
A total of 31 candidates will compete for the national crown this year, up from 30 contestants in the previous edition. The regional qualification rounds concluded in recent weeks following a months-long tour across France led by reigning Miss France 2026 Hinaupoko Devèze, who traveled to crown most of her regional successors.
Before arriving in the Poitiers area for final stage rehearsals, the 31 contestants will begin their preparations on the Caribbean island of Saint-Martin. The trip marks the first time in the history of the Miss France competition that the island will host the official preparation voyage.
Saint-Martin is a French overseas collectivity located in the Leeward Islands of the Caribbean, known for its tropical climate and coastal resorts. The annual preparation trip allows contestants to undergo media training, photo shoots and rehearsal schedules prior to the live television finals.
Return to Poitevin lands
The upcoming ceremony will mark the fourth time the Miss France title has been decided in the Poitevin region. Parisian contestant Patricia Spehar won the crown in the area in 1996, followed a decade later by Picardy representative Rachel Legrain-Trapani.
The region last hosted the national pageant two years ago, when Angélique Angarni-Filopon of Martinique won the Miss France title at the same Futuroscope venue. The 31 regional winners will assemble in the coming weeks for their Caribbean departure before gathering in Poitiers ahead of the live broadcast on December 12.
