A man aged around 60 died at Pedrinhas Beach in Apúlia, Esposende, on Friday afternoon.
According to Correio da Manhã, emergency services received an alert regarding the incident around 4:30 p.m. The victim suffered a sudden medical episode.
Responders deployed to the scene included the Fão Firefighters, the Barcelos Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle team, and the Lifesaving Institute. Despite the efforts of rescue crews, the man died at the location.
