A 66-year-old man was found dead inside his home in the community of Ivira in the Visaltia municipality on Sunday afternoon.
Police officers rushed to the scene to conduct investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death.
The man was a permanent resident of Germany who was vacationing in the village. According to initial information reported by lionnews.gr, officers found no signs of forced entry at the door or property, and his body showed no external weapon wounds that would indicate a criminal act.
Police Investigation and Family Dispute
Police are treating the case with particular care and examining all scenarios after a serious incident occurred between the man and relatives the previous night.
The 66-year-old had visited the Visaltia police station to file a lawsuit against his brother, who lives in Greece, and his nephew. He reported that they had beaten him, leading police to open a case file.
