Former congressman Kenji Fujimori revealed why he and his wife Erika Muñoz did not have children together during a recent appearance on Cristian Rivero's podcast. The youngest son of Alberto Fujimori and brother of Keiko Fujimori spoke candidly about how the years he dedicated to politics and his subsequent legal process affected his personal life.
During the interview, Rivero asked Fujimori directly about the reasons why he and Muñoz never formed a family with children. The question brought a moment of silence from the former lawmaker before he opened up about the personal decisions made during his career.
Fujimori explained with regret that living deeply involved in the political realm puts a person on autopilot, leaving them unaware of how fast time moves. He said time passed during his political career, followed by the legal process he faced, which further delayed his family plans. He added that reflecting on that difficult period made him feel time had passed faster than expected.
Bond With Stepdaughter Daniela
Fujimori also discussed his relationship with Daniela, the eldest daughter of Erika Muñoz. When Fujimori and Muñoz married in 2020, Daniela was 11 years old. Over time, the former congressman built a close bond with her, treating and caring for her as his own daughter.
The brother of Keiko Fujimori recalled recently facing an uncomfortable situation due to negative comments made by users on social media. Daniela supported and comforted him during that time, telling him he had done the right thing.
She reminded him that as the head of the family, one of his main duties is to protect and defend those around him, especially his wife and her. Fujimori said with evident emotion that her words deeply moved him.
