Russian arms manufacturer Kalashnikov Concern will showcase its new AK-12K shortened assault rifle and the SKAT 350M reconnaissance drone at the Together We Will Win forum in Moscow.
The press service for the defense enterprise stated that the exhibition focuses on military hardware and equipment that directly affects the survival of service members on the battlefield.
The AK-12K is a compact derivative of the standard AK-12 assault rifle, developed specifically for assault units. Shortened assault rifles feature reduced barrel lengths to improve soldier mobility during close-quarters combat, urban operations, trench clearing, and transport inside armored vehicles while maintaining high firepower.
Alongside the new rifle, visitors at the exhibition in Moscow will see the SKAT 350M high-altitude unmanned aerial vehicle. Unmanned aircraft are used extensively for aerial intelligence, target tracking, and battlefield reconnaissance. The SKAT 350M drone is capable of executing operational tasks for up to four hours continuously.
Uniform sets and tactical gear
Kalashnikov's equipment division will also present field uniforms and tactical gear at the forum. The display includes the VKPO 3.0 and VKPO 3.1 field uniform sets, as well as the Strelok equipment system.
The VKPO series is the standard multi-layered clothing system used by the Russian military, designed to provide operational protection across varied weather conditions and environments. The Strelok equipment ensemble integrates modular protective armor elements with tactical load-bearing gear for infantry forces on active deployment.
Recent deliveries and drone production
The showcase in Moscow follows several recent deliveries announced by the arms manufacturer. In June, Kalashnikov delivered a fresh batch of upgraded 2023-model AK-12 assault rifles to military customers.
During the same month, the concern reported that it had begun deliveries of another unmanned aerial vehicle model, the SKAT 220 drone, to an undisclosed customer.
Kalashnikov Concern, headquartered in Izhevsk, is Russia's largest defense manufacturer of automatic weapons and small arms, best known historically for producing the AK-47 platform. In recent years, the enterprise has expanded beyond traditional weaponry into unmanned aircraft, tactical uniforms, and protective gear.
The Together We Will Win forum in the Russian capital brings together defense enterprise representatives, military specialists, and hardware developers to review the latest technology built for battlefield operations.
