Actor Jamie Foxx announced he is expecting his third child at age 58 with his partner Alyce Huckstepp during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The Oscar-winning actor spoke about the upcoming birth on the late-night television show on Tuesday, September 22, joking that he still has what it takes to raise a newborn.
Foxx told host Jimmy Kimmel that he is preparing to return to the routine of taking a child to school, admitting that while he was not hesitant, becoming a father again at 58 made him reflect on his age.
He explained that a conversation with actor Al Pacino helped reassure him about the decision. Pacino welcomed a child in 2023 at the age of 83 with his then-partner Noor Alfallah, and Foxx said speaking with the veteran actor removed any lingering doubts he had.
Humor and Family Life
Kimmel asked Foxx if he had calculated how old he would be as his child grows up. Foxx responded with humor, explaining that he told his partner to stay patient for 12 years, when he will turn 70 and expects her to place a blanket over his thighs and serve him pudding.
Health Recovery and Family Background
During the interview, Foxx also addressed his previous health scare, confirming that he has made a full recovery after suffering a brain hemorrhage that caused a stroke while filming the movie Back in Action.
He told the host that he feels fantastic and expressed deep emotion about being back on stage, adding that there was a time he did not know if he would return or see all the wonderful people again.
This will be the first child for Foxx and his 31-year-old partner, Alyce Huckstepp. Foxx is already a father to two daughters from previous relationships: 32-year-old Corinne, whom he shares with former partner Connie Kline, and 18-year-old Anelise, whose mother is Kristin Grannis.
