Greek actors Ioanna Triantafyllidou and Kimon Kouris have baptised their one-year-old son Orfeas at a ceremony on Saturday, August 29.
The ceremony took place in the presence of relatives, close friends and several well-known figures from the Greek artistic community.
Celebration after the baptism ceremony
The couple's son received the name Orfeas during the religious ceremony. Following the service, the family hosted a reception to celebrate the occasion with their guests.
Kimon Kouris and Ioanna Triantafyllidou marked the day by sharing videos and photographs on Instagram from the reception venue, showing the setting and gathering after the baptism.
The event drew a notable gathering of figures from across the Greek entertainment industry. Guests in attendance included actors Tonia Sotiropoulou, Evgenia Dimitropoulou, Tamilla Koulieva and Apostolis Totsikas, as well as singer Kostis Maravegias.
Television series collaboration and relationship
Triantafyllidou and Kouris have been together for the past four years. The couple grew closer while working together as co-stars on the popular Greek television drama series Pagidevmenoi.
Triantafyllidou is widely recognized for her television roles in Greece, including her long-running starring role in the comedy series Min Archizeis ti Mourmoura, as well as her work in drama series and theater productions. Kouris is similarly established in Greek television, film and stage acting.
In Greece, baptism is one of the most significant religious and cultural sacraments, traditionally held during infancy or toddlerhood to officially give a child their name surrounded by family and godparents.
Marriage and family background
The couple officially tied the knot on May 31, 2025. News of their marriage was first revealed when fellow actress Melia Kreiling posted a photograph of the newlyweds on social media.
A few months after their wedding, on September 6, 2025, it was announced that the two actors had welcomed their first child, a baby boy.
The couple celebrated their son's first birthday leading up to his baptism in August 2026, sharing photos and video highlights of the event with their social media followers.
