Chinese luxury vehicle manufacturer Hongqi has started Russian sales of its updated H5 executive sedan, raising the starting price to 4.48 million rubles.
The restyled model costs more than 200,000 rubles more than the pre-update version, which was previously listed from 4.28 million rubles.

Major changes are concentrated inside the vehicle cabin. Hongqi has redesigned the front dashboard and installed a standalone touchscreen for the multimedia system, replacing the display that was previously integrated directly into the center console.
The interior update also introduces a new digital instrument cluster alongside a reconfigured center tunnel equipped with cup holders. Designers reduced the number of physical buttons and moved the automatic transmission selector from the center tunnel to the steering column.

Engine specifications and performance
The mechanical component of the sedan remains unchanged following the update. The model continues to feature a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 218 horsepower.
The engine operates in tandem with an eight-speed automatic transmission. According to technical specifications, the sedan accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 230 km/h.

Brand background and upcoming models
Hongqi, which translates to Red Flag, is the luxury automotive marque owned by state vehicle manufacturer FAW Group. Founded in 1958, Hongqi is China's oldest passenger car brand and originally produced official limousines for state dignitaries. Parent company FAW Group, based in Changchun, operates as one of China's largest automotive groups, expanding the Hongqi brand globally to compete in executive passenger segments.
The revised H5 is part of a broader product rollout planned for Russia. Hongqi intends to launch updated editions of its HS3 and HS5 crossover models, as well as the new HS6 PHEV. The plug-in hybrid electric vehicle utilizes both a petrol motor and rechargeable battery power for low-emission driving.
