Greek model Giannis Spaliaras has confirmed he is in a new relationship with a 28-year-old non-Greek woman after meeting her on a beach in Attica.
The 51-year-old model discussed his personal life in an interview with OK! magazine, explaining that his new partner does not live in Greece and that the couple are working to navigate the physical distance separating them.

Spaliaras said the pair met by chance at a beach in the Attica region. He recounted that she looked at him first, adding that both of them were left in shock by the initial encounter.
Describing the meeting as love at first sight, Spaliaras admitted that he had not fully believed in such sudden romance in the past. He noted that an experience so unexpected had never happened to him prior to meeting his current partner.
Addressing his decision to share pictures of the two of them on Instagram, Spaliaras clarified that posting the photos did not mean he intended to reveal her identity to the public.

The revelation comes after Spaliaras went through a breakup earlier in the year. He stated that his previous relationship ended in March, making it feel too late to discuss his former partner and too early to talk in detail about his current girlfriend.
Spaliaras previously announced the end of his four-year relationship in a Facebook post published on August 19, writing that an important cycle had concluded. Later, on September 3, he shared photos on his personal Instagram account showing him embracing a woman on a beach with a red heart icon on both stories, without disclosing the exact nature of their relationship at the time.

Post-breakup struggles and reflections
Reflecting on the end of his former relationship, Spaliaras described the period following the split as extremely difficult, particularly after four years of living together. He shared that he spent most of his time staying at home rather than going out, which made the grieving process more painful, though he noted that he felt good inside for remaining honest until the end.
Spaliaras explained that his four-year relationship with his ex-partner, named Aggeliki, was the longest relationship of his life and the only one to which he had given himself completely. He credited her with teaching him how to love fully, describing it as the greatest gift he had ever received, while acknowledging that emotional feelings do not always guarantee long-term compatibility.

When asked whether he agreed with the notion that love is cured by new love, Spaliaras remarked that romantic feelings cannot be forced or chosen deliberately. He pointed out that his previous two relationships had been separated by a four-year gap, having broken up in 2018 before meeting Aggeliki in 2022.
