A fire broke out in an open-air area on Agias Annis Street in the Votanikos district of Athens, according to the Greek Fire Service.
According to initial reports, the fire started in an open lot in an area with several businesses.
Firefighting Response
Sixteen firefighters using five vehicles were sent to the scene to fight the blaze, which was later brought under control.
Traffic Restrictions Lifted
Because of the fire, traffic police initially imposed restrictions on Agias Annis Street between Iera Odos and Orfeos Street. Traffic in the area has since been fully restored.
