The wreckage of the Titanic bathyscaphe, which crashed on June 18 during an expedition to the Titanic, was delivered to the port of the Canadian city of St. John’s. It is reported by the CBC.

According to media reports, the wreckage of the bathyscaphe was delivered by the commercial ship Horizon Arctic. In particular, the bathyscaphe’s nose cone, parts of its hull and tail section were unloaded ashore.

Recall that the OceanGate Expedition to the wreckage of the Titanic began on June 18. 1 hour 45 minutes after the descent into the water, the crew of the vehicle lost contact with the satellite.

On June 22, OceanGate announced that the crew and passengers of the Titan submersible were presumed dead. In total, there were five people on board – the CEO of Stockton Rush, British businessman Hamish Harding, an entrepreneur from Pakistan, Shahzada Dawood, his 19-year-old son Suleiman, and researcher Paul-Henri Nargeole.

On June 23, it was reported that the cause of the collapse of the apparatus was implosion – the destruction of the body of the bathyscaphe under the influence of the water column.
