The legendary artist was 83 years old. She had previously buried two children

Tina Turner died on Wednesday, May 24 after a long illness in her Swiss home. She has had serious health problems for many years. In 2013, the singer suffered a stroke, three years later, doctors diagnosed her with kidney failure and colon cancer. The artist even considered euthanasia at one point, but her husband Erwin Bach became a kidney donor.

The artist had four children. Two survived. She gave birth to her first child in 1958, when she was only 18 years old. Raymond Craig Turner was the fruit of a relationship with saxophonist Raymond Hill, whom Tina met when she joined her future husband Ike Turner’s band. The boy’s parents separated before he was born, and Ike Turner adopted Ray. With Turner, the singer had three more boys: Ronnie, as well as two sons Ike, whom she adopted and raised: Ike Junior and Michael.

Unfortunately, Tina Turner buried her firstborn Craig in 2018 and Ronnie four years later. The death of the first was considered a suicide, the second was ill for years. Tina Turner – although she survived e.g. a violent marriage from which she freed herself in 1976 – she claimed that the death of her children was her greatest tragedy in life.
