U.S. President Donald Trump said his administration is monitoring increasing economic pressure on Iran following months of American military attacks, sanctions, and a blockade, according to an interview published by Axios on Sunday.

Speaking during a brief telephone conversation with the American news website, Trump said the United States is keeping a low profile with Iran. He added that his administration is only partly negotiating with Iranian officials.
Trump stressed that the U.S. government is simply watching Iran as the country experiences massive inflation and a lack of money.
