She published a photograph of Katranidis on her personal Facebook account alongside a description of watching him sleep just hours before he died on September 1, 2024.

Describing her time at his bedside, Palli wrote that she stayed at the hospital throughout the night watching him sleep and noting how handsome he looked. She stated that early the following morning, he let his soul depart.

Palli expressed her desire for those who loved Katranidis deeply and truly to move past the difficult moments of his final years. She urged admirers to remember him as a charismatic actor with endless humor who held a deep passion for theater, romance, and the sea, calling him immortal until they meet again.
