Peruvian surfer Daniella Rosas won the QS 4000 Circuito Banco do Brasil de Surfe in Natal, Brazil, an event on the World Surf League's (WSL) Qualifying Series.
Rosas performed strongly throughout the tournament and closed it out with a win in the final against Brazil's María Eduarda Cesar, a result that earned her important points toward the WSL South America regional ranking.
How the final was decided
In the title-deciding heat, Rosas scored 12.50 points while Cesar reached 10.67. The margin was enough to give the Peruvian first place and a new international title in her career.
The win carries added weight because it came at a QS 4000 event, a category that awards a significant number of points toward regional Qualifying Series standings.
Rosas rises to second in South American ranking
Thanks to her performance in Natal, Rosas moved up to second place in the WSL's South American regional ranking. The result reflects her strong current form and bolsters her ambitions of advancing further on the international circuit.
Rosas is part of the Programa Lima 2027 run by Peru's Instituto Peruano del Deporte (IPD).
