Two teenagers knocked down and repeatedly kicked a 68-year-old pensioner in a residential courtyard in Chelyabinsk, Russian authorities reported on Saturday.
The regional branch of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced the criminal incident in a statement on Telegram. According to the investigative body, the assault took place in a courtyard on Molodogvardeytsev Street in the city.
Video footage recorded by an eyewitness at the scene captured the moment the two teenagers forced the elderly man to the ground. The minors proceeded to kick him multiple times while he was down before fleeing the area on foot.
Following the attack, the Investigative Committee stated that a criminal case was opened under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which covers group hooliganism. Law enforcement officers are actively searching for witnesses and working to establish the identities of the teenage attackers.

The report follows details released regarding a separate violent incident in the southern Russian republic of Ingushetia. According to a female victim, she was inside a beauty salon in the city of Nazran when three women she knew entered the venue accompanied by two men.
The victim stated that the three women beat her with their fists, a hair dryer, a hair straightener, and other items inside the salon. She reported that the two men stood guard at the door to block anyone from coming to her assistance.
Law enforcement authorities in both regions are continuing their efforts to identify all individuals involved in the respective incidents.
