Arsenal preparing €145m bid for Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr

Arsenal are prepared to submit a bid of around 145 million euros for Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior, according to British media reports, in what could be one of the biggest transfers of the current European window.

According to The Athletic, the London club is preparing an offer of 135 million euros in fixed fees plus add-ons, with the aim of persuading Real Madrid to sell the Brazilian attacker. His contract with the Spanish club runs until June 2027. The report was written by journalist David Ornstein.

Ornstein also noted that Vinicius would look favourably on the prospect of playing in the Premier League. The Sun separately reported that a preliminary agreement exists between Arsenal and Roc Nation, the agency representing the player, that would make him the highest-paid player in the club’s history.

Vinicius’s future has remained a subject of debate as his renewal talks with Real Madrid have stalled. According to reports, the club presented a contract extension offer approximately one year ago but has yet to receive a definitive response from the player. Real Madrid has not officially commented on a possible sale.
