Voice of Reason president Aphrodite Latinopoulou has removed an office associate from all duties after journalist Anais Vathi accused him of physical assault.
The party announced the decision on Tuesday, August 11, following an incident reported to have occurred on the evening of August 9. Latinopoulou ordered the immediate removal of the staff member from her office and all official responsibilities pending a full investigation by competent authorities.
Voice of Reason stated in an official announcement that violence against women is absolutely condemnable. The party added that there can be no tolerance for such allegations.
Latinopoulou contacted Vathi directly to express her personal support. Vathi, who is the accused staff member's former partner, posted online to express her gratitude to the party president for supporting her during a difficult time.

Voice of Reason stated that its stance against all forms of violence against women has consistently been clear and non-negotiable. The party added that there is no room for discounts, excuses, trade-offs, or political expediency on issues involving violence against women.
The party emphasized that Latinopoulou does not back down on such matters and spares no individual. It noted that she tolerates no behavior that offends the dignity and safety of a woman, regardless of who is accused.
The party confirmed that the staff member will remain completely separated from office operations and administrative duties until the investigation is complete. Voice of Reason concluded its statement with calls for zero tolerance for violence, respect for women, and respect for justice.
