Tech publication Android Authority has named the five smartphones with the longest battery life of 2026 following extensive laboratory tests.
Testing evaluated dozens of devices spanning budget phones, flagships, and foldables to measure runtime during web browsing, video playback, camera recording, and daily tasks.
Evaluators assessed not only raw battery capacity but also the energy efficiency of processors, displays, and internal components. Android Authority is a technology news and reviews platform known for conducting benchmark testing on mobile hardware.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max earned the top overall position for battery endurance after debuting on the market earlier this month. The device features a silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 10,000 milliampere-hours, providing an energy reserve capable of lasting up to 48 hours under heavy workloads.

In lab evaluations, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max ran for 13 hours during intensive content shooting and 39 hours during video playback. These results allowed the device to outperform former leader OnePlus 15 across all primary test scenarios.
The handset reached a 50 percent charge in eight minutes and completed a full 100 percent charge in 20 minutes. Silicon-carbon battery technology uses silicon anodes to store greater energy density within compact smartphone chassis compared to traditional lithium-ion designs.
Google Pixel 10 Compact Battery Performance
Google Pixel 10 was selected as the top choice for users seeking a compact smartphone with strong battery life. Equipped with a 4,970 mAh battery, the phone operated for nearly 14 hours during continuous web browsing.

The Pixel 10 also recorded nearly 10 hours of operation during video calls and over five hours of continuous photography. Experts noted that its main drawback is slow charging, requiring 85 minutes to reach 100 percent capacity.
Budget Category Leaders Under $500 and $250
The Google Pixel 10a won the category for best battery performance among smartphones priced under $500. Fitted with a 5,100 mAh battery, the mid-range model delivers over one day of active use and 23 hours of 4K video playback.

During testing, the Pixel 10a ran for approximately 10 hours of internet browsing and Zoom video calls. When continuously taking photos or recording video in 4K resolution, the battery lasted more than six hours, with a full recharge taking about 84 minutes.
For buyers on a budget under $250, the CMF Phone 1 took top honors. The device houses a 5,000 mAh battery that provides over 10 hours of web browsing or video calls.

The CMF Phone 1 achieved 18 hours of continuous 4K video playback in testing. Supported by 30-watt wired charging, the battery recharges completely in less than 60 minutes. CMF is a budget-focused sub-brand established by consumer technology company Nothing.
Motorola Razr Ultra Foldable Battery Results
The Motorola Razr Ultra took first place among flip phones and foldable smartphones. Despite its compact clamshell design, the phone incorporates a 4,700 mAh battery capable of lasting through a full day of active usage.

The Razr Ultra requires 57 minutes for a full wired charge at 45 watts of power. It also features support for wireless charging at speeds up to 30 watts.
Camera Testing and Feature Phone Alternatives
The battery evaluation follows earlier testing by experts that identified the top smartphone cameras, noting that choosing a camera phone remains complex due to competing proprietary technologies. Separately, Nokia released a modern feature phone containing a battery comparable to the iPhone 17, with claims of up to 37 hours of talk time and over 40 days of standby time.
