Peruvian engineer Alonso Grimaldo has confirmed that he traveled to the northern resort town of Mancora with influencer Carla Campos Salazar and shared a hotel room with her as part of a group trip. Speaking during an interview on the entertainment television program Magaly TV, La Firme, broadcast on the ATV network, Grimaldo addressed persistent rumors regarding his relationship with Campos following recent media coverage.
Grimaldo acknowledged that both he and Campos had published social media photographs featuring the room they occupied during their stay in Mancora. However, he rejected claims that the journey was a private romantic getaway, explaining that they traveled alongside a wider group of four or five friends who all stayed in the same accommodation.
Grimaldo told host Magaly Medina that he was in a shared room with Campos and that they were not alone during the stay, noting that several other members of their group were present throughout the trip. He added that he has known Campos since 2021 and described her as a close friend of several years with whom he shares strong mutual trust.
The public clarification comes after Grimaldo and Campos were filmed together at a nightclub in the Miraflores district of Lima. The footage, described in Peruvian media as an ampay, sparked widespread commentary online, particularly following Campos's separation from her former fiancé, content creator Curwen.
Alleged meeting in Argentina
During the television broadcast, Medina also questioned Grimaldo about reports suggesting that he had met up with Campos during her recent trip to Argentina. Grimaldo denied that any such meeting took place, stating that their respective schedules in the country did not align.
Grimaldo explained that Campos had initially contacted him to ask for local travel recommendations because she was traveling to Argentina with her mother to attend a concert. He said his own arrival in Argentina occurred several days after Campos had already departed, making a meeting impossible.
Grimaldo added that if their travel dates had coincided, he would have had no hesitation in meeting Campos and her mother to go out for a meal together.

The situation between Grimaldo and Campos has drawn significant attention across Peruvian entertainment media following Campos's high-profile split from Curwen. Content creator Curwen decided to distance himself from Campos after she publicly denied any infidelity involving Grimaldo.
