A volunteer group supporting the Greek Left Coalition, known as ELAS, has released a three-part political documentary series offering a new model for party communications in Greece.
The trilogy traces the creation of the new political movement through personal stories and observations, beginning with former Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and culminating in the party's official launch.

Rethinking Political Narrative
The creators explained that the project attempts to address what politics means today and how public life can reconnect with everyday human experiences. Rather than focusing on election slogans and immediate voter persuasion, the narrative follows a progression from individual reflections to collective social responsibility.
The release comes ahead of a major policy announcement by Alexis Tsipras, who is set to present his economic plan on September 2 as part of the ELAS platform.

Three Stages of Movement
The first episode, titled The Sign of Politics, focuses on Tsipras through personal thoughts and internal monologue. The producers stated that the episode uses individual experience as a starting point to explore public duty rather than delivering a standard biographical summary.
The second episode, The Hope of Reversal, gives voice to young people discussing job insecurity, housing difficulties, and postponed life goals. The segment presents hope as an active social process tied to community participation and creative action.

The final installment, The Time of Responsibility, documents the founding of the Greek Left Coalition. Citizens of different ages discuss civic participation and social renewal, framing the new organization through its members rather than its administrative structure.
Student and Artist Initiative
Unlike standard political campaigns produced by public relations agencies, the documentary series was conceived and filmed entirely by young artists, directors, and students. The team used observational documentary techniques and oral histories to create space for reflection and self-criticism.
The independent project was developed under the academic direction of Fani Kountouri, an associate professor of political science and communication, who provided scientific supervision for the volunteer team.
