Alejandra Baigorria Responds to Pamela López Claims

Peruvian businesswoman and television personality Alejandra Baigorria posted a message about her family's happiness this week, after Pamela López publicly accused Baigorria's younger brother, Derek Baigorria, of pursuing her romantically even after she turned him down.

López shared what she described as WhatsApp conversations in which Derek Baigorria asked to meet her in person and offered her handbags and trips.

Pamela López's allegations

According to López, Derek Baigorria first reached out about her taking part in an advertising campaign, but she said the conversation soon shifted, with him repeatedly asking to see her and calling her often with offers of handbags and trips.

López said she eventually had to block him, adding that the young man was fantasizing, since he kept calling her while the work arrangement he had promised never came through.

She also shared a screenshot of a message she said came from Derek Baigorria, in which he told her he wanted to see her and joked about whether it was real or he was dreaming. At the time, López said he was just a boy, close in age to her own daughter.

Baigorria's family message

Alejandra Baigorria then posted a message on social media without naming Pamela López or her brother directly, focusing instead on the unity and calm within her family. She illustrated the post with images of her husband, Said Palao, and her other brother, Sergio Baigorria, taken during a family trip to a bamboo forest.

Baigorria wrote, translated from Spanish, that people could say whatever they wanted, but the happiness and peace she shared with her family were priceless.

The closing line of her post drew particular attention from followers, who read it as a veiled response to the accusations against her brother. Baigorria, 38, wrote that the trip had meant a great deal to everyone, and that she would leave the rest to whoever is above, a phrase commonly used in Peru to mean leaving matters in God's hands.
