Xiaomi has opened preorders in China for the Mijia Purifying Humidifier 3 Pro, a combined air purifier and humidifier. The device carries a recommended price of 2,799 yuan, about $415, though buyers can get it for 1,999 yuan, roughly $295, at launch with discounts and a coupon applied.
Tank size and noise level
The built-in 8-litre reservoir lets the device run for up to 16 hours without needing a refill. In sleep mode, noise output measures just 28.1 dB(A), a level Xiaomi compares to a very quiet whisper, making it suitable for use overnight.
Filtration performance
According to Xiaomi, the unit's Clean Air Delivery Rate reaches 422 cubic meters per hour for particulate matter and 247 cubic meters per hour for formaldehyde. The device also uses a one-directional water delivery system, meaning used water does not flow back into the tank, which Xiaomi says lowers the risk of contamination and bacterial growth.
Display and controls
A top-panel display shows five key operating parameters. The purifier can run in air-cleaning mode without humidification and includes an automatic self-cleaning function. It can be controlled through the Xiao AI voice assistant or a mobile app, which offers remote control and tracking of indoor humidity charts over time.
Other features include the ability to add water from the top without removing the lid, a removable tank for easier refilling, built-in wheels for moving the unit, and the option to run purification and humidification together or separately.
