Specialists identified display refresh rate parameters as a primary area where computer performance is lost. Although many modern monitors support high refresh rates of 120 or 144 hertz, Windows may continue displaying visuals at 60 hertz if forced limits remain active in display settings.
Display refresh rates, measured in hertz, determine how many times per second a screen updates its visual image. Standard desktop monitors typically run at 60 hertz, whereas high-end gaming and professional displays support 120 hertz or 144 hertz to deliver smoother motion and reduced eye strain during intensive tasks.
Power Plans and AI Background Services
Journalists also recommended that users navigate to operating system parameters and inspect their active power plan scheme. The authors advised selecting High Performance or Ultimate Performance settings so that the system does not cap hardware processing capability.
