A 51-year-old resident of Volgodonsk has been sentenced to 22 years in a strict-regime penal colony after being convicted of committing multiple sexual offenses against two underage girls in Rostov Oblast.
The investigative directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Rostov Oblast reported that the court also mandated compulsory psychiatric observation and treatment for the convict, which will be administered by a specialist physician at the correctional facility where he serves his sentence.
The defendant was found guilty under four articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The charges comprised Article 131 for rape, Article 132 for violent actions of a sexual nature, Article 135 for depraved actions, and Articles 30 and 134 governing attempted crimes against the sexual integrity of a minor.
