Greek singer Vasilis Papakonstantinou has canceled his scheduled concerts across Greece after suffering from a persistent bout of pneumonia.
The veteran artist announced on Thursday, August 20, 2026, that his health condition forces him to halt his ongoing summer tour until he regains his strength.
Writing on his personal Instagram account, Papakonstantinou explained that an obstinate case of pneumonia had been bothering him for some time, making it impossible to continue his performance schedule.
He reassured his followers that he intends to get back on stage as soon as possible, promising to meet fans in person across public squares, stadiums, festivals, theaters, and streets.

Papakonstantinou had planned a series of live shows across multiple Greek cities as part of his nationwide summer tour. All upcoming dates are now put on hold while he undergoes recovery.
