Universitario de Deportes beat Alianza Lima 4-1 in the first semi-final of the adidas Cup Lima U16 Gold Cup to reach the final.
Universitario opened the scoring in the 25th minute when a free kick taken by Chuyes deflected off the wall and wrong-footed the rival goalkeeper. Silva extended the lead two minutes later with a powerful shot inside the penalty area to confirm early control.
Second half and final matchup
In the second half, Chuyes scored his second goal in the 36th minute with a strike from outside the penalty area. Alianza Lima responded in the 38th minute when Bolzicco finished in front of the goal to cut the deficit.
Universitario answered immediately in the 40th minute as Silva scored his second goal by pushing the ball in unmarked. Universitario will play the winner of the semi-final between Boca Juniors and Flamengo in the final.
