Two DIAS team police officers were injured when their motorcycle collided with a car on Athens-Sounio Avenue in Lagonisi.
According to a Facebook post by Saronikos Municipal Council member and television presenter Natali Kakkava, the driver of the vehicle reportedly attempted a U-turn near Pefko beach before colliding with the police motorcycle. Kakkava also posted a video of the incident on social media.
Hospitalization and vehicle details
Both injured officers were taken to the 401 Military Hospital. According to reports, the condition of one officer is causing greater concern.
Four people were traveling in the car at the time of the collision. Reports indicate that the vehicle had been rented by tourists.
