Police detained a truck driver after Ekaterina Chakovskaya, PR director of Moskvichka magazine, was struck in central Moscow. TASS reported that the driver fled the scene following the crash on Khodynskaya Street.
Pedestrian Crossing Incident
The driver, a resident of the Moscow region born in 1987, hit Chakovskaya on the morning of August 11 as she crossed the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing. Police compiled four administrative protocols against the driver, and authorities are deciding whether to open a criminal case while the Moscow Prosecutor's Office oversees the situation.
Chakovskaya was hospitalized in the intensive care unit at Botkin Hospital. Doctors diagnosed her with a fracture of the base of the skull and multiple bruises, according to the Shot Telegram channel.
