Tripadvisor has released its 2026 Travellers' Choice Best of the Best awards for fine dining, naming the 25 restaurants around the world that travelers rated most highly. A restaurant on the Greek island of Santorini made the list.
The ranking spans South America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East, with the chosen restaurants standing out not only for their food but also for their atmosphere, service and the overall experience they offer guests.
Argentina takes the top spot
Fogón Asado in Buenos Aires, Argentina, took first place. The restaurant turns the tradition of Argentine asado, a style of barbecue cooking meat slowly over an open flame, into a complete dining experience.
The grilling is done in front of diners, and an eight-course tasting menu showcases Argentine culture through cuts of meat including provoleta, ribeye and tira de asado. The experience comes paired with a selection of Argentine wines.
Singapore, Vietnam, Scotland and Spain round out the top five
Second place went to KOMA Singapore, which combines modern Japanese cuisine with a striking setting, serving dishes such as sashimi, tempura, gyoza and tuna carpaccio.
Third was The Rhythms Restaurant in Hanoi, Vietnam, which blends authentic Vietnamese cooking with international influences.
The Witchery by the Castle in Edinburgh took fourth place. Housed in a historic building near Edinburgh Castle, it is known for its distinctive atmosphere, dramatic decor and dishes built around Scottish ingredients.
Fifth place went to Meat Market in Valencia, Spain, a restaurant built around meat. With a modern aesthetic, a wide range of options and an emphasis on ingredient quality, it offers an experience that blends grilling tradition with more contemporary touches.
Greek restaurant Five Senses ranked 12th
Among the world's top restaurants, in 12th place, is Five Senses Restaurant in Imerovigli, on the island of Santorini. It is the only Greek restaurant on the list.
The restaurant stood out for its Mediterranean and Greek cuisine, its creative approach to dishes, and the experience it offers guests set against the island's landscape.
Tripadvisor placed it among the winners of the Travellers' Choice Best of the Best 2026 awards, with a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from more than 1,000 reviews.
Tripadvisor said Five Senses Restaurant stood out not only for the view it offers but also for the attention to detail visible in every dish. It said the tasting menu, made with fresh ingredients and creative choices, was one of the experiences the restaurant recommends, while a rooftop table at sunset rounded out the dining experience against a striking view.
