Spartak fan who attacked the journalist was arrested for two months

Former director of the Spartak fan club, Valentin Korshunov, was arrested for two months. This is reported by “Championship.com”.

This decision was made by the Tushinsky District Court of Moscow after the attack of the ex-director of the fan club on the journalist. A criminal case was initiated against the fan for obstructing the lawful activities of a journalist with the use of violence. Under this article, Korshunov faces up to six years in prison.

The incident involving Korshunov took place on Wednesday, October 20, at the Otkritie Bank Arena stadium in Moscow after the match between Spartak and Leicester in the Europa League. The fan struck several blows at RBC journalist Alexander Shchegolev. Initially, the court fined the fan 5,000 rubles and banned him from attending football matches for two years.

Spartak lost 3: 4 to Leicester. After three rounds of the Europa League, Muscovites are in last place in the group with three points.
