Outsider RPL snatched victory in stoppage time

Baltika beat Krylya Sovetov in the RPL match

Kaliningrad “Baltika” defeated Samara’s “Wings of the Soviets” in the match of the 25th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.

The meeting took place on Saturday, April 20, and ended with a score of 1:1. The scoring at the end of the match was opened by Baltika player Angelo Henriques, who took advantage of a mistake by Samara goalkeeper Ivan Lomaev at the exit, but the guests equalized the score in stoppage time; Amar Rakhmanovich converted the penalty. The hosts snatched victory thanks to a goal from Dmitry Rybchinsky in the 96th minute.

RPL outsider Baltika won the second match in a row, scored 23 points and ranks 13th in the championship. Krylia Sovetov are in sixth position with 36 points.

Baltika will play away against Krasnodar in the next round on April 24. “Krylia Sovetov” will meet Voronezh “Fakel” on a foreign field a day later.
